Description I DO NOT WANT YOUR GREEN EGGS AND HAM SAM I AM!

As if Nursery Rhymes filled with subliminal messages weren't bad enough.

I used to love Dr. Seuss books, but now that I'm older I see how crazy they truely are XD

To this day I still find myself saying, "I DO NOT LIKE GREEN EGGS AND HAM SAM I AM" whenever pressure becomes ridiculous.

... You're a troll right?

Sorry my sarcasm, and dicking around meter is off today.

I can't tell if you're being serious or you're over thinking a story about the joy of trying new things.

So for my own piece of mind, I'm just going to state this book's moral: Don't be afraid to try new things, you may just like them. Dr. Seuss, was a fucking genius.

It's a fuckin meme. And Dr. Seuss was racist.

This is a demotivational poster. It is not art. It is not meant to be taken seriously. It is made for fun, as all demotivational posters are. I was read this story every night as a child by my father, so I can say that I am a fan of Dr. Seuss. I also enjoyed green eggs and ham on his birthday several times.

As an added note, Dr. Seuss forgot to mention you should never give into peer pressure, which is arguably something that could be considered 'overthinking'.

Being the center of a joke that's SUPPOSED to be stupid, for the enjoyment of others, is the sincerest form of flattery. If you can't laugh at yourself, perhaps you shouldn't laugh at all.

No, my comment was truly honest, I seriously didn't know if you were being serious or not.

Also, my mannerisms have a natural default of sarcasm. A lot of times I tend to sound sarcastic when I'm really not intending to. (No Joke.)

Well you appeared to accuse me of being a troll and you put your two cents in. I think that's proper warrant for a response and an explanation.

I'm also very tired of comments on this and another deviation of mine where people don't seem to understand what a "joke" is and decide to stir up trouble. This isn't your fault and I'm not blaming you, Sweetie, just something I wanted to point out. I'm a bitch so I try very hard to type things in a way that aren't so much offensive as they are a good finger wag.

Actually I think it's more of a government reference. Because MOST (not all of them. no harm given) of them are rich (green for money) and they (usually, again no harm intended) just sit there wallowing in there richness, and when the republican masses (Sam I Am) go to the head of the countries government (the big large white guy with a hat in the picture shown above), they use their overpowerng tactics to try to turn the governemt around to the republicans, and if the president falls, MOVE TO JAPAN! WE'RE ALL SCREWED...unless you are one of those dirty- I mean AMAZING!! republicans....

You are seriously over thinking things. This story is about not being afraid to try new things.

Don't throw away the candy bar until you actually tried it.

I remember when my class did Green Eggs and Ham when I was little, read the books ne day, then had us watch the movie the other day. They served us actuall green eggs and ham. I said I didn't want any so they left me alone until ten minutes within the movie. Then they got me to eat some, and I had to go to the bathroom to throw up.
The other kids ate that stuff like it was going out of style.

Eggs aren't dairy-- they're poultry, as per the egg of a chicken? lol, Silly Inuyasha907, Milk can't make babies by hatching itself!

Polarisey123 In reply to MeganHopeless [2013-03-05 03:42:06 +0000 UTC]

No, but it DOES breed itself. It feeds female calves that grow up and produce more of itself o.o

MeganHopeless In reply to Polarisey123 [2013-03-15 23:40:01 +0000 UTC]

Yes, milk does give nutrients to calves, but what you're saying is the equivalent of saying my future child's real mother is the slice of pizza I just ate..

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Polarisey123 In reply to MeganHopeless [2013-03-16 02:40:08 +0000 UTC]

What I'm saying is that milk feeds female calves that grow up and produce more milk. If you cut out the middle man, in this case the calf, milk produces itself x3

To be honest, I got rather confused with your response....but I think you called yourself a slice of pizza, because your future child's real mother, which is you unless you plan to adopt, would be the slice...and I have no clue how that relates to my example Could you specify?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MeganHopeless In reply to Polarisey123 [2013-03-17 02:56:05 +0000 UTC]

Okay, the relation:

Your POV:
The milk feeds the female calf, which winds up creating more milk in the long run!

My retaliation:
So, if there nutrients feeding the female calf goes on to create more milk in the long run-- that's like saying the nutrients(in your example, milk) I intake (in my example pizza) create my spawn
Because cutting out the middle man, in my example my uterus, you get my future child from my pizza sustenance.xD
Its a confusing comparison
But bear with me.
Cow nutrients=milk
Cow product=milk
Middle man=cow calf

My nutrientsizza
My product=future children
Middle man= my uterus

In this example the pizza would be reproducing itself because almost everyone makes at least one pizza in their lifetime.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Polarisey123 In reply to MeganHopeless [2013-03-17 04:23:13 +0000 UTC]

I haven't made a pizza yet ;w;

In any case, it sort of fits...only, much like me, not every living being makes a Pizza within their lifetime, whereas female cows are almost guaranteed to make milk within their lifetime x3

But if you grew up eating pizza and knew for CERTAIN that your children would make more pizza, then yes pizza produces itself too And do you know what's on Pizza? cheese. what makes cheese? MILK!

Tloj: Not to sound snobbish (And I'd better not get flamed for this), but my dad puts milk into our eggs, and it adds to the flavor and texture. So in our house, eggs are dairy products.

Although I do not eat green eggs and ham, My mom is oriental, Sam I Am. She WILL eat them here or there, She'd probably eat them anywhere. But I don't eat green eggs and ham, They taste better fresh, Sam I Am.

Inuyasha907 In reply to legsboy-and-jolt [2012-03-29 03:11:40 +0000 UTC]

That actually sounds pretty good and a great way to get calcium instead of just eating the shell XD
I think they use milk and eggs to make french toast if I'm not mistaken ouo Your dad is just fancy without even knowing it.

The thing is that eggs used to be put into the dairy section of the food pyramid XD People seem to forget that.

They used to serve us green eggs and ham tacos for breakfast on Dr. Seuss' birthday at my elementary. They would just add in food coloring but it was still cute.

Oh and as for the rotting meet and Eggs bit,
The thosand year old egg is a chinese delecacy which an egg is put into clay for several months and then eaten. And I believe a similar practice with meet is practiced in alaska. Both seem rotten to the average eater.

Actually, he wrote the book because a friend of his said he would give him $50 if he wrote a short story with fifty words, $1 for each word. He could repeat words, but he needed fifty different ones to win the bet. He won, and earned even more after he published the story. And neither ham nor eggs are dairy products.

Eggs aren't dairy, dork. Yeah, they seem crazy to immature adults. They're inspiring to people that actually try to get what they mean. Seuss spent years writing this on a budget of 50 words that little kids should know. That's why it's a brilliant masterpiece.

Green Eggs and Ham was written to teach you that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. Despite the bizarre coloring of the ham and eggs they are perfectly okay to eat and are even very good.
