This is my entry for the Irkens of Hatena Theme Contest...even though it's a day late...Well, you see, last night, I was working on some random drawing and listening to Pandora, being all sad and stuff because I didn't enter the contest, due to my wonky tablet...when "Starry Eyed" came on Pandora. An idea immediately burst into my head that used the fantasy theme. I looked at the clock...11:00 PM. I don't think I ever worked so hard so fast. XD Well...here's the song I repeated listened to for hours: [link] It really gave me the mood of the picture.
I tried a different form of shading. It was really difficult...especially the eyes. I hate the blur tool. It makes things funky colors.
But I actually really like how this turned out...like, I REALLY like it. Please, give me your opinion! 
I was going to ask for a critique but I'm too scared XD
Oh, and don't place this in the contest if late entries aren't tolerated. It's my fault.

It's just that...even if criticism is constructive, it always gets me down...I need to get over this if I'm going to be a good artist someday. Maybe I'll turn on the critique feature...I don't know...meeeeh.

I know how criticism feels, but as much as it seems negative sometimes, they're merely trying to give advice. Some critics just try to be straight and to the point, and the wording makes it sound bad. But almost all of them are trying to help!

I know that they're trying to help, and I truly appreciate their input, because it makes me better by pointing out the flaws. But I seem to like to live in the masquerade that there are no flaws, and I can truly appreciate my work for once. It's stupid...I know that the art isn't perfect. There are many reasons why it isn't perfect. In order to make it perfect, I need things pointed out. It's just a silly little thing that I need to get over.
