actually horses are omnivores that mostly have a herbivorous diet.
they will eat meat if offered or found, and will also eat smaller animals such as birds, rodents, insects, and fish..
they even have the teeth of an omnivore, including canine teeth,
meaning that the Evolutionary ancestors of the horse used to eat meat more often than they currently do.
surprisingly other herbivores also eat meat once in a while, such as Deer, and cows
and of course most wild animals will eat the afterbirth, including the sac, placenta, and umbilical cord.
