Lara's head throbbed and drummed hard like a drum. All she could remember is her reading the atlas -the map to the divine source- and then not much.She tried to rub her temples, but she couldn't. She found herself bound tightly to a wooden chair, and next to her there was a table with a piece of cloth, a roll of duct tape and a ballgag. Suddenly a door slammed open with a familiar face... a leader of Trinity, Konstantin. That would explain why she's in the situation she was in.
He walked right behind her and whispered up close to her hear "Thank you so much for giving us the Atlas, and as a reward... I'll let you choose" with one hand he pointed at the objects on top of the table.
Lara replied......
Please don't gag me, there's no need to do that.
Seriously? a ballgag? why on earth you would have one of those?
You are going to regret this!! you are dead!! do you hear me!!!

No, I was talking about the tape gag. It's "irrelevant" to this render as I was thinking of the rest of the renders belonging to this series.
My impression of the cloth animation is that the 3D object (which from the beginning was a gray cube I suppose) follows the face shape of the character, which is why the contours of Lara's lips are visible on the tape.
So when that is done, do you manually remove the rest of the cloth in order to leave a "square" area of the 3D object around the mouth? Is it easy for Blender-beginners to do that?

Ehmm.... no the process is a bit different. What I do is create a plane and then use a cloth simulation.... well to simulate cloth as it drops on top of the model, the fabric itself adapting to the shape of the face of the model (which previously I deformed so it looks like her cheeks are pressed by it) and then the result itself I use something called sculpting so I can make it look tigher and add small details like ridges.
The process itself.... I think is not that complicated? though definitely something that is more on an intermediate level after you had got the basics about the interface of Blender.
