- Vesper is the second born and only son to Luna and second born son to Stygian. The third child in the family, Vesper was a shy foal at first, but like how Nightfly was. Nightfly took to him because of this, and he became close to his big sister. Despite both being boys, Acheron and Vesper don't have much in common. As they got older, Vesper was kind of a peacemaker between Acheron and Nightfly. Whenever Acheron got on Nightfly's nerves, Vesper would interfere and send his brother on his way.

- The calmest of the siblings, Vesper is a popular one with the ponies of Equestria. He is often the first seen when making public appearances. Nightfly is too antisocial to make a first appearance and Acheron usually goes off to do his own thing. Vesper and Serene are usually the two who help their parents address their citizens.

- Vesper discovered his talent when his mother Tempest was having trouble falling asleep. Almost instictively, Vesper used his magic and lulled his mother into a deep and calm sleep. After that night, Vesper used his mother Luna's genetic powers to locate any pony who was having trouble falling asleep, and helped guide them to the dream realm.
