Hero name meaning: It's a joke of his name and "Sun's golden rays".
Age: 37
Quirk: "Radiate"

Strengths:
- He can radiate light and heat similar to the sun, blinding and burning his opponents
- He's skilled with a metal bat, and other means of CQC
- Knowledgeable about motorbikes and other machinery
- Good judge of character/ good instincts

Weaknesses:
- If he uses too much of his quirk, he burns out, and needs time to recharge by sunbathing
- His reflection can also blind himself if he isn't covered (unless he's burnt out and hasn't recharged)
- He can't make skin contact with anyone without giving them a sunburn (unless he's burnt out and hasn't recharged)
- In his burnt out state, Ray is tired and grumpy.

Personality:
Ray is pretty easygoing, and sociable. He has a sense of humor and can sometimes come off as a bit flirty, but he means well, and people like him. He likes being a hero and kicking ass, but he oft times goes off to put extra time for others through simple acts of kindness.

He has a stable self confidence, and isn't easily offended, and always has a clever comeback to insults.

History:
Ray didn't discover his quirk until he was 3. His babysitter forgot him outside for 12 hours. Though he didn't get sunburned, he DEFINITELY absorbed a lot of sunshine. As he grew up, he had to be fitted constantly with fullbody suits for the safety of others.
He had a pretty average life. Got along with his family, went to school, graduated, and became a pro hero.
Later in his life, Ray Gold was approached by a villain called Spitfang, who surrendered himself on the condition Ray didn't attack him.
Curious to why a villain so suddenly wanted to turn a leaf, Ray devoted his time to learn more about Spitfang, help reform him, and eventually became friends with him (he even gave him the nickname "Spinner").
He hasn't stopped being friends with Spinner, and has even attended Spinner's wedding.
Ray is such a close friend to Spinner and his family,Kava considers him her uncle.
