From one of the recent dreams. Kai appeared in his usual form for a brief moment. The dream itself had a spectacular ambiance. So, nothing much happened… I just saw Kai walking around some hills and communicating with people, which didn’t seem to fear him much. Looked like those guys were sort of followers or something. They were up to something and Kai was keeping an eye on their preparations.
I’ve just discovered that I don’t have many drawings of Kai in his ‘usual’ form, so I’m quite happy that I had an opportunity to draw him like that one more time. Nice.

According to the other entity (Valkary), he never seen Kai's 'true' form in a way I put it either, but, at the same time, he said that each of Kai's forms is 'true', so my question was irrelevant and naive -_- I guess, he has no real initial form... Dunno how it works. Also, I suspect that we have a problem with communication/understanding each other at this point. The terms don't match, so I heard an explanation and didn't get it at all -_-
It's me who chose to call this appearance of his 'common'. I saw him like that (and in a beast form) more often than in other forms. Otherwise it just breaks my brain to think that he has no shape or form.

From my perspective XD But I can't confirm that he has a 'basic' look. It's just easier for me to comprehend and accept, I guess... like... there 'must be the beginning', you know? I can't digest the fact that he is a shapeshifter without preferences. I saw him in this shape enough to take it for the 'main' all together with his other 'beast' form of his, but yeah... how many other form does he have?
