Description Perhaps similar to 'Grow Up', although in a slighty reversed manner. Anyway, I had this idea one day to make a series on what the human body can be used for. In a serial killer/Buffalo Bill sort of way of course.
I used 'cheerful' colors as sort of a contrast to the macabre theme.

Like an illustration from the REAL Brothers Grimm fairytales....

I do like the yellow flowers to mask the sinisterness of this... only the bug reminds us of decaying flesh...

BRILLIANT!

IreneLangholm In reply to KatMPhotography [2009-03-25 17:50:10 +0000 UTC]

Thank you so much.

Yes, the Grimm fairy tales are much darker than the Disney-fied versions they feed the kids. All the better for the kiddies, I suppose.

I really like the fact that the picture doesn't look like a "typical" horror picture.
The colours kinda remind me of a storybook-illustration and in my opinion it would be an interesting combination of storybook and a cut off arm.
Awesome work!

a mirror involved in a manipulation can be a hard job when using another`s resources
I broke a mirror while trying to figure out how the reflection should look like

Actually that is my own mirror and walls. But it took a few shots to get the angle right.

Which is beautiful and which is grotesque?
One could ask....

I like the message (or what I perceive the message to be anyway)-
implying that humans aren't the pinnacle of evolution, just a random part of the whole thing

What application do you use? Photoshop?

So true. Thank you.

Perfect. I like this one so much. Both the main image, and the background, are detailed and work together as a whole, to bring forward the idea presented.

Bruhahahha... At least now I know not to make you made, you'd probably use my head as a trophy in a photograph. ha ha ha!!!
