Description This is sort of a prelude of things to come.
I have long been thinking of portraying The seven Endless without doing actual portraits, but instead with a representation of the characters in a different manner.
The mythology is from Neil Gaiman's series 'The Sandman'.

Matthew was Morpeus' last raven. Matthew was once a human. He died while asleep in the Dreaming and was offered a chance to serve the Dreamlord as a raven if he wished, and he accepted.

Thank you most kindly!

No, I used to have prints available a couple of years ago, but dA takes way too much of the profit so I disabled them all. Never made any money on it. I'd rather give prints away to people for free than have dA make all the money from other people's work.

Great composition as always. I also love Gaiman's work. Nice tones and fine integration of elements. The texture is highly effective.

Thank you! I'm glad you noticed. ;p I used a very scratchy texture to sort of accompany the sharp claws. And perhaps also his crow mannered voice, as he in the series are portrayed through 'scratchy' speech bubbles.

OMG FROM SANDMAN?!

Sorries, I didn't read the comments and went straight to be all excited when I saw the title. I absolutely adore this, and I'm not being biased in anyway. I hear what you mean though, once upon a time I wrote a piece for Desire and was wondering about writing one on each...but it's harder than it sounds. Great job and can't wait to see the rest.

Yes, indeedy it is!
I just love the series so much and decided to start the Endless manips right after completing reading the books all through. I screamed when Daniel came into the picture and I realized what was happening after all this time. I was gutted. lol

I can't wait to do this series though, it shall be interesting.

Haha, back at ya! It's no wonder Gaiman is in my all-time fave authors. I recently started re-reading them after folding and buying all the omnibus volumes. xD And still won't finish them, otherwise it'll be over again. LOL.

I KNOW! Me too. Just great, though. Terribly great. I heard some rumours a little while back of HBO or some channel wanting to do a mini-series on it...and I don't know how I feel about that one. Y'know?

Good luck!

DUDE, I know! XD
I've made the mistake of keeping them by my bed and stubbing my toe on 'em a little while back...those things are TOMES.

Maybe they'll re-think it...or get Gaiman involved with it and it won't be like that turrible BBC-ish Neverwhere.
