Description I wanted this piece to have a sense of realism as opposed to the standard fantasy photomanips with huge moons, flattering winds and butterflies. (after all Tolkien did set the events of middle-earth to a pre-historic Europe. Not fairyland.)

The writings around the frame is the writing system of tengwar
and says 'Alatar ar Pallando, Ithryn Luin'.

Ithryn Luin - the Blue Wizards
The two Istari (Ainu order called Wizards in Middle-earth)
There were believed to be five of the Istari sent from the Valar to Middle-earth.
(of which two also was Gandalf and Saruman.)

It is said that 'Ithryn Luin' journeyed East with Saruman, and never returned. They went as emissiaries to distant regions, East and South, far out of NumenΓ³rean range to enemy-occupied lands.

Thought doubtless in different ways; and suspected to become founders or beginners of secret cults and "magic" traditions that outlasted the fall of Sauron. (Whether they remained in the East,
pursuing their purposes for which they were sent; or perished; or as some hold were ensnared by
Sauron and became his servants, is not now known.)

Well, I can definitely agree with the complete lack of butterflies. That would be strange... In fact I really love the natural reality of the scene here. There's a lot more to be said about the evils of industry and the fall of man than there is bright and bubbly magic in the world. It seems to me that magic has far more practical uses. ( And every single Tengwar font I have found doesn't have letters that correspond properly ...this one I can actually read. )

Oh yeah, the font I used was all scrambled and wrong so I had to write down every single sound it represented and which key it was. The keyboard fonts are never correct; I know a tattoo artist who used the download font to spell a word which were tattooed in huge letters on someone's back. It made no sense at all. As much sense as "gfhjgfhj". Poor guy.

Liking this one loads really loving the lighting and the feeling of this .. really cool and very dark .. btw the monks that were at this abbey wore white habits not black .. just thought I'd give you some historic facts LOL .... thanks though for the stock usage

Hello. That is really interesting; I don't think i've ever seen monks in white cloaks before. But as the wizards in this depiction were of the blue order, they have blue ones. I'm glad you like it. Thanks for the fav also.
Those ruins are really interesting though. Do you know anything more about them?
