oh wow. this is really interesting - I like the way you've put the stones / gems around him - it makes the picture look like something from aan alchemical text - and in a way, that's what it must have seemed that FΓ«anor did - take light and transform it into the Silmarils and other light gems.

The stones are the Seeing Stones that he crafted as he was the greatest Elven SMITH/alchemist that ever lived. The stones later was given as gifts from the Elves to Men, the Numenoreans.

btw Have you read LotR or the Silmarillion?
