In Italy there is still so much homophobia and pressure by the bigots and ingorants. I just want to say: WAKE UP ITALY! We can do it (yes, "we", I'm heterosexual, but we live in the same world, and it's in our own interest that it becomes a better place to live in).

To those who talk about religion, I'm a Christian, and I believe that God loves a good, pure, loving relationship between people of the same gender. It's a better relationship than a heterosexual relationship that's filled with cheating, lies, anger, or abuse. I have friends who are bisexual, pansexual, asexual, and homosexual. It doesn't matter what religion you believe in. Love is love, and so long as it's between two adults who consent to it and that it's loving and real (not based on trends, sex, or convenience), it's good.Β

I never said all heterosexual relationship are filled with that. I simply was stating that people think homosexuality ruins the name of marriage. However, I see many heterosexual relationships filled with deceit and anger. I happen to be in a heterosexual marriage with my husband, and it is pure and true love.
There are some homosexuals who are marrying just because it's legal, now. There are some who do it for the sex. But, all of these things can be translated to either homosexual or heterosexual. My point was that so long as the relationship is based on true love and respect for each other and not anything material, sexual, or convenient, it's a good relationship and should be allowed to be as such.

I don't get why someone's sexual orientation should be such a big deal anyway, it doesn't define who they are and if they're a good person or not. I hope that one day, the world will be more accepting in law. I love that in the UK, our laws have made it so that homosexual couples have the same rights as hetrosexual couples and can get married.
