Hi I have a one week break with no school so I might actually draw and post if I don't end up playing Genshin non-stop all day, anyway here's an early post because I'm too inpatient for ya'll to wake up/hj

Anyway, we got a new Godziban episode a few days ago on Friday which was a continuation of the previous episode in which Gigan's younger sister, Girly Galrin debuted in (I know I kept calling her "Girin" but turns out I mistranslated her name since the director confirmed her name to be "Galrin" recently). It was a really cute episode and it really showed iff Galrin's personality and her relationship with Gigan really well. Liked it a lot!

I thought that her ability of just randomly switching her blade to a chainsaw (and now a hammer as it was shown in the new ep) was a really funny concept and I've been meaning to draw something with that eversince the first episode featuring her got released. Was inspired by the weapon transformation sequence which looked a lot like a magical girl anime transformation so I decided to make a drawing based off of it. I'd say it's pretty simple compared to other works of mine but it was definitely a lot of fun drawing. I think I managed to capture the vibe of it really well with the background and details!

I initially thought I'd struggle more on the chainsaw given it's decorated with gems and since (and I shit you not) I only drew Gigan's chainsaws like a total of 3 times before, but it turned out not being all that complicated in the first place (outlining it was rather time-consuming tho). The background was inspired by the background that is seen in the transformation sequence, basically very pink and glittery and shiny. I love playing around with effects like these so the background was really fun to make. As for Glarin I believe I did pretty good! This was my first time drawing a fullbody of her and I'd say I'm not too particularly used to drawing small chubby characters, but I managed to pull her off rather well. I did struggle more with her expression since I didn't know what to go with but I think the result looks fine.

I enjoyed working on this piece a lot! It was a rather quick one but it was really fun to do! I want to draw some more Kaiju stuff soon. Was thinking of drawing Megalon and Jet Jaguar since their anniversaries are right around the corner lol
