Ereshkigal is a chthonic goddess that is found in the mythology of ancient Mesopotamia. She is believed to have been the Queen of the Underworld and a very powerful deity.
She is the older sister of the goddess Inanna (also known as Ishtar) Ereshkigal plays a very prominent and important role in two particular myths: Inanna's Descent into the Underworld and Marriage to Nergal
It is worth mentioning that no known iconography of Ereshkigal has survived till this day. It has been argued that the Burney Relief which I use as reference (also known as the Queen of the Night), is a representation of this goddess. This is not universally accepted, however, as some belief that the figure depicts Ereshkigal’s sister, Inanna or perhaps even Lilith.

But weren't the Lilim a group of Mesopotanian godesses representing the north and therefore desert winds? If you want to go back pre the Jewish myth of Lillith being Adams first wife.
It could be Lillith though. She is suposedly linked to owls and the night.

I think the Burney Relief is Inanna for one there was an image of Inanna on a vase that was identical to the Burney Relief and it was clearly labelled Inanna. It is definitely not Lilith as the image has Queenly accoutrements like the horned crown and those two symbols Inanna is holding.

I'm using the same source in a game under construction for a statue of the goddess Ishtar (Ishya in my game).

Nice pic of the Queen of the Great Place (Eresh= Queen, Ki= place/earth, Gal= great). The design reminds a bit of the Hindu goddess Kali, though I recognize that the curling horns are a common design on Mesopotamian deities, and I like the combination of dark skin and bronze. The owl is a nice touch.
