It's strange to me that in two completely different mythologies there are 3 female beings in control of the date of all. I don't know if it's coincidence or not, but I love it.

I immediately thought the sisters of fate when I saw it. Realizing I was right made me so happy. Beautiful work

Great art, and you know, from what I've heard and have observed, the Norns bear a striking resemblance to other such trios of goddesses in European folklore:
1. The Moirai (the three Fates) from Greek myth
2. Parcae in Roman myth
3. Some fairies and gods from Slavic myth
4. And of course the three Weird Sisters from Shakespeare's Macbeth
The list goes on, but anyway, they all serve the same purpose; directors of fate. They would meet with the heroes, tell them of their fates, and every hero was forced to bow to it.

Humans are fond of grouping things in three.

then again there will always be past present and future so yeah 3 fates in any culture makes a whole lot of sense

Kinda interesting about the weaving destiny, and how they share a similar theme to the Fates from Greek Mythology.

They are in principle the same characters yes. thats probably why artist mentioned the Moirai in de description aswell. this trinity appears in many, many religions and cultures.

Sweet! Reminded me of the 3 hags in the Prydain Chronicles, who were his analogy for the Norns.
Nicely done. I may, if you don't mind, use this as my phone background next month.

And like their counterparts Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos they are holders of the one great truth that all male humanity seems to forget:
It is woman who brings you into this world.
It is woman who raises you and is the fount of love that sustains you.
And finally, it is woman that lays you to rest at the end of a life time.
Maiden. Mother. Crone.
Love and respect the power of Woman.
