Bukhali: ”What do you mean I won’t be joining the hunt today?”

Vizuri: ”Nope, you get an easy day today; it’s your turn to look after Giza.”

Bukhali: ”What?! I-I can’t do that, I don’t know anything about cubs for spirit’s sake!”

Thambile: ”Realx brother, she’s an absolute sweetheart. You won’t have any trouble.”

Bukhali: ”Vizuri, please! I do whatever double shifts you want! Just don’t leave me alone with this thing!”

Vizuri: ”Oh don’t be so dramatic, watching Giza is a cakewalk. Just keep an eye on her so she won’t stray or get herself eaten by something.”

Bukhali: ”But-”

Vizuri: ”Have fun you two!”

10 minutes later…

Bukhali: “Look at you, you’re a bloody mess!”

Giza: “It’s just mud.”

Bukhali: “That’s not what-… Why did you even have jump at that mouse anyway?! There will be plenty of meat for you once the others gets back.”

Giza: “I don’t know, it’s just what I do-”

Bukhali: “Never mind. Now I have to clean you up before the others get back and sees you like this!”

Giza: “You will?”

Bukhali: “Yes! And I don’t want to hear any objections-”

Giza: “Thank you, Hali!”

Bukhali: “There is no point in complaining, it has to be-… Wait what did you say?”

Later…

Johari: “Awww…”

Bukhali: “Huh… W-what? you’re back already?”

This takes place about a week or two after Tham and Hali joined the pride.

Whenever the pride goes of to do border patrol and hunting, one member always stays behind to babysit Giza. The pride take turns in doing this and hence, inevitably; it eventually became Hali's turn. Which he wasn't too keen about at first. xD

However, he grew used to babysitting as time went on, but the first time he did it is not something he thinks back fondly on. Giza on the other hand; had a good time. She even got kinda attached to Hali after that day and would seek him out even when he was not on duty to watch her (which he actually grows to enjoy more than he admits out loud).

That in turn also meant he had to interact with Johari more and found out he had a thing or two in common with her as well. Which leads to the two of them forming a shallow but existing friendship of a sort.

On a side note; I got a new laptop earlier this year and since it took some time before I could install Phopothop on it, I ended up downloading Krita and Medibang Paint Pro as substitutes in the meantime.

So, this comic was one of my first attempts with the program Medibang.
