I was pulling out dusty books from an old bookshelf and found "Ozma of Oz" by L. Frank Baum with this beautiful illustration on the first page. I simply had to draw it.

This is a beautiful rendering of Ozma and so very like the ones in the books. You really capture that unique turn of the century style while still making it a bit less sketchy with the colors and shapes.

Ozma is my favorite Oz character. When I was little I was Ozma for Halloween one year. My sister was Dorothy, and everyone knew who she was and nobody knew who I was.

I don't even know the meaning of 'freetime' anymore. I'm lucky I found time to get on here (and I had over fifty messages and 300 deviations built up!). I'm afraid that free read will be a while in coming for me...
Although on the bright side, when I do get the time to read them, I work in a library so I should be able to find the books!
