This is something that popped into my head due to listening to a song WAY too many times.
My school is doing "Seussical" for the school play, and well... not much more needs to be said.
The character Jojo, is imagining fanstastical place called "Solla Sollew."
For those of you who have absolutely NO clue what Seussical is, (I didn't either until about a month ago) you may be familiar with Dr. Seuss's books, one of which features Solla Sollew.
I don't own that book, so I have no idea what the place actually looks like in Dr. Seuss's drawings, but this is what I imagined.
Anyway, among other things, this was the first time I really got to work with my new copic markers!!! So exciting!
P.S - My scanner killed the colors.

I LOOOVE the song "Solla Sollew" I was spinning around a few minutes ago in the living room singing that song... i sang it twice..... and While I'm at "work" today, i'm probably be humming it.

no prob! yeah, spinning around singing it is fuun! except when the guy (who is 1 year older than you) that u have had a huge crush on since 3rd grade comes to your door to sell candy to raise donations for the kids in where-the-heck-istan and you're spinning around... acting like a dud...... then u freak out and run to your room and cry for an hour.. i know what it's like. first-hand expriance. eep.

Do you think it's a metaphor?
Of course it is, Dr. Seuss was FULL TO THE BRIM of metaphor-the Butter Battles was an allusion to the Cold War...betcha didn't know that!

Actually- didn't you tell me that before? Someone did.... though I probably couldn't have told you what war it was. But you're right, Dr. Seuss is full of that stuff, like Yertle the Turtle is Hitler, and The Sneetches is about racism, etc.
So.... it's probably some sort of metaphor?
