My sister Emily told my Momma and I earlier today that Leonard Nimoy died at the age of 83. I know he was old, but it still made me very sad.
The original series of Star Trek was a big part of my childhood. Every Sunday after Church, we used to stop by the video store and rent a Star Trek episode. Yep, back when the only thing that existed were VHS tapes, before DVDs came along. XD
Anyway, my two favorite characters have always been Mr. Spock and Scotty, I even have two figures of them. People are always surprised whenever I tell them that the original series of Star Trek has always been my favorite. Yes I know they were cheesy, and they didn't contain all the technology the later Star Trek series had, but the old Star Trek series to me is so enjoyable and fun to watch. I also prefer the original characters, to me they are the REAL people of Star Trek.
I drew this as a tribute to Leonard Nimoy, who did live long, and who prospered. Goodbye, and thanks for being a part of a classic show that gave me joy as a child, and even now.
