Description
Many of the vampire characters I created stem from Victoria in some way, so I made this piece to demonstrate that.

However, Victoria herself never had a sire up until this point. The Scythian is therefore a new addition.

THE SCYTHIAN
BORN: 500 BC
EMBRACED: 462 BC (38 years old)
SIRE: Unknown

An ancient vampire known simply as The Scythian. By the Medieval period, the Scythian was already old, and voluntarily entered torpor for centuries at a time.

Her powers were so great that she could influence mortals while in this state. Her body was comatose, but her mind drifted on the winds, perpetually haunting the world. Alas, despite her slumber, the Scythian developed a following of cultists, who protected her at all costs.

The Scythian was never a member of the Coven. An ancient vampire, potentially more powerful than the Coven's own elders, could not be allowed to exist. Alas, they hunted her. By the 18th Century, the Coven had discovered her lair. The Scythian’s cultists had no choice but to flee.

In 1794, the Scythian was placed aboard a ship bound for the New World.

During this voyage, the unthinkable happened - after a slumber that lasted for almost two centuries, she finally awoke.

Maddened by her hunger, the Scythian attacked the first person she came across. Her victim was a young woman named Victoria.

After feeding upon the woman, the Scythian regained her composure. On some level, she regretted such a senseless kill. And so, instead of letting Victoria die, she embraced her.

The Scythian promptly disappeared after this incident. Her cult no longer exists, and any secret as to where she might be vanished along with them.

VICTORIA
BORN: June 5, 1769
EMBRACED: February 7, 1794 (25 years old)

CHILDE: Clementine, Alyssa

Born in the Kingdom of France, Victoria was a noblewoman. She married a wealthy marquis, spending her early adulthood in opulence.

But that soon ended with the advent of the French Revolution.

Her husband was sent to the guillotine, while Victoria fled, using what remained of her wealth to buy passage aboard a ship bound for the New World.

On this ship, Victoria was abducted and turned into a vampire by the Scythian. The Scythian promptly disappeared, and Victoria had no choice but to figure out this new life on her own.

She travelled the world for the next few centuries.

In 1870 she had a brush with death, when she turned Clementine into a vampire. Clementine responded aggressively, and managed to impale Victoria through the heart with a piece of wood. Victoria was sent into torpor by the attack, and only revived several years later by chance, when the wood was dislodged by the elements.

Knowing that she could very well have never been revived, Victoria became cautious. She sired only one other after this event, a woman named Alyssa, in 1901.

In modern times, Victoria founded a corporation known as Seraph. Disguised as a pharmaceutical company, Seraph's true purpose was to provide refuge to vampires.

It had similar rules to the Coven, but was more or less a direct enemy of it. This earned Victoria a lot of enemies, and she has not returned to the Old World since the early 20th Century.

CLEMENTINE
BORN: May 21st, 1830
EMBRACED: August 29, 1870 (40 years old)
SIRE: Victoria
CHILDE: Poppy, Blade, several others

Clementine was born in Mississippi, 1830. She married a man named John in 1849, and they had a daughter named Lucy in 1851.

Lucy succumbed to flu at just eight years of age. Clementine and John never tried for another child.

John fought for the Confederacy in the American Civil War, and was killed in battle.

To make matters worse, in the closing months of the war, a detachment of Union soldiers arrived at her homestead and violated her.

Clementine wanted revenge, but she had no way to obtain it - until Victoria arrived.

Victoria turned Clementine into a vampire, telling her to take her revenge on those who had wronged her. But she misunderstood how full of anger Clementine was. Clementine attacked Victoria, and in the ensuing fight managed to impale the vampire right through the heart with a broken chair leg.

With her newfound strength as a vampire, Clementine set out into the American Frontier. Over the next fifty years, Clementine became known as 'The Devil from the South'. A merciless, immortal gunslinger who would stop at nothing to hunt down those on her 'list'. No one made the connection that all her victims stemmed from that one group of soldiers that had caused her so much pain, all those years ago.

Clementine continued her hunt long after the west was tamed. She killed the last member on her list in Chicago, 1922.

But Clementine had done this for so long that she had come to enjoy it. She would continue her hunt, except this time her targets would be innocents. She had lived long enough to become a monster.

Over the course of the Twentieth Century, Clementine gathered a small group of loyal followers. Together they roamed the deserted backroads of the American Midwest, killing and feeding indiscriminately.

POPPY
BORN: August 9, 1897
EMBRACED: September 3, 1922 (25 years old)
SIRE: Clementine
CHILDE: Spike

Poppy was a Chicago socialite. Her parents died when she was young, and her three older brothers took most of the fortune left behind.

By adulthood, Poppy had barely a coin to her name, but appearances were everything to her. She kept up her lavish lifestyle, taking loans from local gangsters.

And when she couldn't repay them, there were problems. Her home was firebombed at night, and the young woman fled for her life.

Alone and afraid, she wandered the city streets for hours, until she happened upon a mysterious woman: Clementine.

At first, Poppy was yet another victim Clementine planned to feed upon. But as the young woman lay dying, Clementine saw the pain in her eyes. It reminded her of herself, back when she was human.

And so out of pity, Clementine spared Poppy's life, turning her into a vampire.

They have been inseparable ever since.

SPIKE
BORN: February 11, 1967
EMBRACED: July 16, 1989 (22 years old)

Born in crime-ridden New York City, Spike had a troubled upbringing. It was no surprise she became a trouble maker, picking fights with anyone and everyone.

The subway was her prowl. There were all kinds of idiots who rode alone at night, easy targets for her to rob.

Except one night she tried to rob the wrong group, and paid with her life.

Her murderers, Clementine and Poppy, were amused by Spike's tenacity. Even as she lay dying, she spat insults at them.

And so they spared her. They let her join them.

She never did shake her attitude, though.

BLADE
BORN: October 31, 1969
EMBRACED: N/A
SIRE: Clementine (via mother)

Blade's mother was bitten by Clementine while heavily pregnant. Her mother died, but Blade survived.

She wasn't human nor vampire, but something in between. She had most of a vampire's abilities, and few of their weaknesses.

Blade grew up with a hatred for the vampire species, and she took it upon herself to wipe them out. Due to the fact that sunlight did not effect her, she became known and feared as the Daywalker.
