Description
The Sylvan Isles is the homeland of the elves, a tribal people who are highly proficient with magic.

All elves are female, red headed, and slight of figure. However, they are savage and dangerous, using ancient spells in battle that give them the strength of several men. They have long fangs and claws, but can disguise these using magic, making themselves appear harmless.

Over the past decade, forces of the Empire under the command of Imperatrix Claudia Titania have invaded and held roughly one third of the Sylvan Isles. In 507 IC (Imperial Calendar), the Senate ratified Titania's request to officially recognize this territory as a new Province: Sylvannia.

Slowly but surely, the Imperial war machine gains dominance over these mysterious and ancient lands.

Titania gives all elven captives a choice to swear allegiance to the Empire and be spared.

Titania's sword is known as a power sword. The blade is made entirely of magic energy. It can cut through almost any surface with ease, and it feeds off other magic, meaning that magic users within range cannot properly cast their spells. This is useful when near elves, who are known for their magic prowess.

Power swords are given to all Legates (Legion commanders) and Imperators (Generals commanding multiple Legions), and they are always red.

The Emperor's Praetorian Guard also have power swords, which are purple instead.
