Description This famous bridge in the University city of Cambridge connects two buildings of St John's College over the river Cam. It was obviously named after another covered bridge in Venice, although the two have little on common apart from being covered. But it's important to note that the British architects have been fascinated with Venice for a long time! Another legend explaining the bridge's name states that the sighs in question come from the students going across the bridge to the exams. Very plausible, if I do say so myself! ;D
