Description
This is an artwork that I have just completed. I think wolves are wonderful creatures and although from the real world I hope this composition implies an element of fantasy by the character's unusual friendship. The girl's crouched pose leaning into the wolf is designed to look as if she might run off away from the viewer and join the wolves rather than chose human company. I have made their eyes quite similar to also hint at this tie in.A big thanks to photographer Neil Chapman and model Samii for the photo that I used as reference when painting the girl.

It's like... she's a werewolf, and she's in a spirit world where the two sides of her can appear apart, but paradoxically, a the same time be together in a way they've never been able to be before.

I love your work! Β but just to be a stickler, only wolf pups have blue eyes, adults are amber. Β I get the tie-in, just wish the wolf had realistic eye color.

Wolves can have blue eyes. But only with a genetic defect. They don't always have Amber eyes either. They can be brown, yellow, and various other shades...
