But seriously, wow! This is amazing! You totally got Zoe'sΒ likenessΒ down, and that side of her... The one that shined when she was with Wash... She is a badass warrior women that survived and kicked ass in a war but still, she is a person... And IΒ agree, I think she'd be a wonderful mother!
P.S. I can't even begin to describe how awesome it is that you even added a small story to it, with the shirt and all, it is so like them, just, great work!!!!!!!

This is wonderful! Wash & Zoe are one of my two all-time favorite movie/TV couples (right next to Sarek & Amanda). Very nice touch to make the dress out of one of Wash's shirts.

Hmmm...either Zoe was pregnant at the time of Wash's sad demise, or they took precautions and had the necessary genes stashed on planet somewhere. Being in space exposes you to radiation and all sorts of hazards that could sterilize you in a few seconds. Naturally, Zoe would decide to go ahead and make her beloved Wash a father.

Just seeing this makes me want to well up with tears, I recall the episode where Wash was opposed to bringing a baby into the verse, and with a Zoe glare and taunt, we all knew he lost that arguement.

hmm...that kiddo is going to grow up to be a little off. mommy, uncle mal and uncle jayne teach the kid how to fight. inara teaches her how to suduce people, uncle simon teaches her to heal, aunt kalie (not sure on the spelling) teaches her to fix engines and aunt river is just around being crazy...unless someone kidnappes her and kiddo for revenge...

I don't think she would be off. She'd definitely be smart as hell though. The Tams would teach her 85% of everything she needed to know before she reached the first grade. (OR she'd be home-schooled seeing as she'd probably be living on the ship.) Kaylee would teach her basic engineering skills, like you said. And would YOU want to be the moron to bully her? Mommy is a trained killer, with ninja-level abilities. Uncle Mal would tell her if anyone tries to kill you, you try to kill them right back. And God-pa Jayne. He'd be sitting in a sand dune with Vera WAITING for something to jump off.

Not with a Companion having taught her how to deal with that shit. Besides, I don't think that River is that lucid...I think that she would just snap an arm as she brushed him...besides, River doesn't see the future, just read people's minds.
I was thinking going to a Rim High School with the learning of a Core-trained surgeon and a Companion behind her for studies, a VERY talented mechanic for shop and Mal, Zoe, River, and Jayne for everything else.

It's great. It's a comic that occurs after the movie, and it's all about Wash and has a ending that I think does a bit of justice to what happens in the movie. I recommend it.
