Let me start by saying that if a month ago you'd had told me I'll someday draw Star Trek fanart I would have laughed. A lot. That said, when I read the fanfic The Engineer and the Boy by Evelynwordsmyth, I was fascinated by the idea of Scotty babysitting Spock and Uhura's son. Too cute to resist! So this is dedicated to her for writing such a cute ficlet.I'm terrified to have committed some kind of newbie mistake in this drawing... but what can you do, I AM a newbie.
I gave Grayson (which, BTW, perfect name. Is that fanon?) blue colors because I thought that would be cute :3

And yes, I like the name "Grayson" as Spock and Uhura's son's name, but like the tradition of giving boys names that start with "S" more because it is in honor of Spock's clan being direct descendants of Surak.
Which IS a great honor.

I can't bring myself to even consider Spock/Uhura as a possibility but hot damn, they would make a cute kid, wouldn't they? Yay for Amanda tributes! Grayson is an excellent name

As far as genetics go, I would have to say that the Vulcan gene is akin to the Asian gene, that being, extremely dominate.

So freakin' adorable. And I think it's safe to say that Grayson has become the fanon name for their son. I've only seen one instance where a potential son was given another name... and that was Sylar, so it doesn't count.

Wow this is really cute. I think a man who can babysit and make it out alive is so cool and attractive. In the old series I liked Scotty second only to Spock and Uhura was my fav female charter. This is just a awesome pic.

...Blue is Medical and Science staff. And unless he is already a member of Starfleet (doubtful as it is Wesley Crushers job to be the cannon Gary-Stu Genius Kid who joins SF at age 13) he would not be in uniform just normal (23rd century) clothes...

In the fanfic I illustrated it says that he's wearing an uniform (I know he's a civilian and he shouldn't be wearing one, but it's cute) but it doesn't say what color, so I went ahead and made him blue shirt... Maybe he'll take after his dad and be a science officer (or a Doctor, who knows lol).
