Сказка Толкиена уникальна - это единственная из известных мне сказок о трех братьях, которые должны что-то найти или вернуть или спасти, где награду получает трусливый рассчетливый брат, оставшийся дома, а главный герой объявляется главным злодеем и отправляется в ад.
И да, тысячелетней истории всех других сказок я верю больше.
