I simply can't get enough elephant ears! Great shot! I think it's curious that the whistle should be placed on one side of the boiler, where it might make it harder to hear it from the other side. Do you know the reasoning behind this?

I have had no trouble hearing her whistle.

My best guess would be that because the cab and the boiler are of the same height, should the whistle go on top it would be out of gauge.
