Nah, not part of the Twelve Kingdoms. Just two of my other favorite Anime that are somewhat similar in their "tone" - if you know what I mean. Hard to put into words for me in English. Guardian of the Spirit also has a similar setting, just without the "hero originally came from Japan" part. Crest of the Stars has a totally different setting (space opera). Nevertheless they kind-of "feel" similar to me though. Thought maybe you know them and like them too. And if you don't know them, they may be worth checking out
But of course that's very much a matter of personal taste, so maybe you'll hate them, who knows

OH I don't know about it but I'v just  searched for some images and It looks great! I really love this kind of drawing's style ( my english is bad sorry) XD
Oh please tell me that a character of Moribito that has long white hair is a man XD I love characters like that.

Now I have to apologise for responding so late. Haven't gotten around to checking dA lately. And yes, the one with the white hair is a man
And do check out "Crest of the Stars" too. The drawing is not as impressive as with 12K or Moribito, but if you like that style maybe you'll like it too.

siisis leete los doce reinos ^^! a mi me esta gustando mucho pese a q traducen muy lentamente, pero vale la pena.
me alegro q te guste, a mi este en particular d los q he hecho d los 12 reinos es el q menos me gustaba y me daba rabia, ya q queria q fuera el q mas ( pq salen youko y keiki) q ambos me encantan pero na XD,

me alegro q te guste, y si q yo casi no encuentro cosas de ambos juntos, espero q en la novela se hable mas de ellos dos, cosa q en la serie d anime no se ve tanto.
