May be one of the few OCs that's not derived from any fandom that I've drawn in YEARS.
This guy has changed names so many times, geesh. He started as - don't laugh - "Fakesilver" when I was in sixth grade, then as Ksir - but messed with him as a drow then, then... I don't remember he just sorta dropped out of my head for years. Then as I was doodling he popped in again and it was like "Wow. I wonder what he would look like if I drew him now?" So yeah, this is what came out. I may need to tweak it more. I dunno if the half-'hawk is cool anymore, or if it even works with the character. I dunno. He's a half-elf so the shaved half of the head is supposed to... represent that? I changed his name to Greypath because I headcanon'd that half-elves are coined as "grey paths" because they're not on either one side or the other.

From what I remember of his story - or at least the parts that remained constant - is that he grew up with the elves, but he really, REALLY wanted to be with humans. It was more dynamic, more energetic, chaotically alluring. I guess he realized that nearly an eternity (I think half elves lived for 500 years) of beauty and arts and perfection would get old fast. I got the idea when I was daydreaming in class, back in Middle School, about elves and how much my friends and I wanted to be elves and all that, then wondered if elves ever wanted to be humans. Maybe elves would find our lives to be fascinating, fast-paced and ever changing, and yet from these shambles there's a personal touch that makes a human life so very HUMAN. SO very real and carnal and explosively ALIVE. People, it's okay to live your life as humans should, because I bet there are elves out there secretly jealous of it.
