Description
This was a difficult one.The skin tone and the hammer were the most difficult things and probably doesn't look the best but these requests were for that so a good experiment and practice.

and I can see you have the white bit between your linework like I used to, do you happen to use the brush tool to do line work also?
I've struggled a lot with that, here's the quick and easy solution for ya, you can use the selection tool, select the outside of the line art then use invert tool so the selection is within the body than you can color it black and set the layer at the bottom, that way it'll cover up all the spot that you brush light or you can't select wit the selection tool

It's probably a problem of time, these requests are more sketchy than my regular illustrations.
I taked less time putting the base colors.
I usually select all the otside of the lineart and invert the selectioand then refine the selection to fit my lineart. I color the selection with a basic grey and then put all the colors in a folder clipping it to the basic grey.
Probably the white that you say is grey cause I didn't refine the selection, sorry >.< and thanks for sharing these technic.
