this is my side piece! i got my first tattoo on my right hip, and fell inlove with it! so for my next piece i decided i was going to get one of my own designs, i decided to get leaves for a lot of reasons. first becuz i wanted to be able to show motion, and what better way than through some falling leaves? also, becuz im from michigan, the leaves and helicopters will always remind me of home, they also go with a theme from my first tattoo which is of a bird. i love it! it was done by DZ at Studio 138 in Kalamazoo MI...i drive 3 hours to get him to work on me! he is that good!Please do not copy or use my tattoo as reference to your own piece. This is my own art work on my own body. Please respect me as an artist. The idea is set up, so make it your own. Thank you for your consideration.

This is a very very beautiful piece. I have two tattoos of my own, and I actually had this idea as my next. I will respectfully not use the exact same picture, but I do plan on using a variety of leaves in somewhat the same concept.

I love this. I hate people who just slap things on their body, the design needs to fit and merge with the body. This look so smooth and natural on you.
Are the 'wind' lines there faintly or is that just the leftover smudges of the stencil, if you get what I'm asking.

this is so beautiful...i love it! i was contemplating leaves, but i had never thought of showing the movement like this! its beautiful...will you get them colored in to show autumn-ness or leave them uncolored? i love it

thanks for the diggs.....leaves are really organic just like the body...so i figure it should follow my side accordingly. leaves are a great idea and they carry a lot of meaning for me....make sure you pick something meaningful!

did I have a design of my tattoo? no, i drew the leaves myself. and my tattoo artist and i laid each one out along my body,according to the way my hips and body curved. why???

I think it's pretty cool tattoo and if I must by honestly... I want leaves tattoo on my body. You know, I think... I can mixed your design with my design and than I can go to tattoo artist.

do it! the pain is exhilirating...its almost a high, because your breathing gets s crazy that your oxygen levels get ll messed up. it was more painful on my ribs han anywhere else...im getting more work done soon! i cant wait!

it was about 3 hours for linework alone, with a break or two...so ya it hurt alot, the top of my ribs was the worst, and its the biggest part.

lol. ya the studio just switched owners, its now called urban affair, ink and hair, and the people there are extremely awesome! dz, my artist, doesnt work there anymore, but we love them still anyways! check them out, they are just down the street from Belle's Brewery.

hmm... i didnt have to pay an artist fee...which will normally run about 50 bucks minimum....but the outline alone cost me 250 bucks.....i havent even started the color yet.

i dont know if im going to get it colored or not yet. i was kind of hoping for it to look like my original drawing, which wasnt rendered, but my tatt artist is begging me to finish it off...maybe with some colored line accents or something. we'll see, cuz it hurt like hell.
