I have the collected series of comics, BUT I do not know if they were all included. The first few issues had deus ex machina rescues AND titles that had no connection with the story (like CURSE OF THE FACELESS MAN).
Sam & Max can be properly identified as Sade & Masoch, based on their relating to each other (tho their social relationship is more complex than I just suggested.)The first story that had a title fitting it was the moon story -which,oddly enow, kept me thinking of Lucien's True History. Max's body explodes when a force field crashes through it, but his bond with Sam and lunarian technology work together to build him anew. The TV story explained nothing more...
The art is beautiful, the zaniness non-stop and intense, and the color strips top hat (esp. the Star Wars takes).

I remember playing these games back when I was a young'un. When Lucas Arts knew how to make decent games instead of just Star Wars game after Star Wars game. Really loved those adventure games, fun as hell.
