This artwork has a strong meaning, it tells a story for me... Nothing personal, but something that people tend to ignore, something that's as destructible as same as any other disease, something that needs to be won with more than medicines, much more. And i can tell you i really admire someone who beats depression, cause it's not something you need a week or two to get rid, it's something that follows you for your entire life, but you keep fighting and even with all the "monsters" inside your head you believe it will end someday, that's what people need to understand and respect.Hope you like it and share your thought with me, i would love to know that!

I simply had no choice but to stop and stare at this piece in wonder. Every aspect of it is powerful and though-provoking. The attention to detail is simply break-taking and I find something new each time I look at it. The pills, the spilt drink, the wedding gown, and -oh- her jewelry! Her hair is incredibly realistic, as are the wood grains, and your shading is masterful. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful creation with all of us on DA. Your work is amazing ... and I've only just come across it (though I may have favorited one or two bits in the past without realising - I'm not sure now!) However, I particularly like this piece as I can relate to it. I have a condition called Fibromyalgia (which is both debilitating and restrictive yet totally invisible to others who often think the illness doesn't exist). For me personally, it's like having full blown flu 24/7. This, in turn, leads to depression from which I've been suffering for over 35 years now - and you are certainly right about having "monsters" inside the head. It's only really the hope of a one-day cure and a better quality of life that keep me going. But this sort of thing brings it to others attention in such a lovely/beautiful way - so thank you for this. X

Hope is what makes us want to live, there's no better way to explain what keeps our will to stay and fight everyday, just keep the flame, keep your hope and i'm sure that somehow things will start to be at your side!

This is a beautiful, wonderful picture, and you created it artistically very well.
Well - depression... I know some people that had depression, or were quite close to it. It is hard to get out, and yes - of what I saw and heard it can indeed follow you along your whole life. It is also sad how society can deal with those people - I think it is very hard to tell you have depressions, because there are a lot of people who don't understand what it means. Or first try to help you, but do not understand that what they do may not instantly help - and getting out of depressions, or finding a "good way of living with it" is indeed a longer process.

Of course, depression is something beyond our comprehension and people need to understand that empathy is the only thing that can take us closer to what people with this problem are feeling. Our worls need to stop being selfish and start looking each other with more love. Hope this artwork can reach more people to spread the message!
