Wellβ¦in my dream I'm a little girl walking through a beautiful snowy forest that, quite eerily, looks like your photo. Just beyond the trees, I come to a pond that's frozen over and I begin to walk across it. As I reach the middle, the ice cracks and I plunge into the icy water and slip beneath the ice. Even though I know I'm drowning, it's very peaceful. And as I look up through the ice, I see myself looking down at myself very curiously. I feel as if I'm in both places at once. I always wake up at that point. Hmmβ¦sounds more like a nightmare when I recount it but it isn't at all terrifying. I usually know what my dreams mean but I've never understood this one.

sounds like a really interesting dream. It almost sounds like when people recount near death experiences and they feel that sense of peace and look down on themselves. What are your feelings about reincarnation? Just read a really interesting book about it.

I hadn't thought of that before, but I agree with you. It seems more like a memory than a dream. I don't believe in reincarnation, though I do believe it's possible that our cells retain memories passed down from our ancestors. I suppose it's possible that an early relative of mine had such a near death experience that was passed on to me.
I find dreams very interesting. The one I shared with you is just one of many recurring dreams I have.

Sorry for my late reply Viktoria. If by work you mean art, then no not really. I'm not really an artist, but an art appreciator and supporter. I just enjoy the art here on dA. So many amazing artists, like you, to enjoy

It's very, very rare that my jaw literally drops at an image, even at some of my oldest favorites it happens only once in a blue moon. I can't see the moon right now, but someone must be missing an awful lot of blue paint.
Oh my wowness. That's just incredible. As I've mentioned, I love seeing the sunset as a diffuse glow like that, and to see it reflected on the clouds above as well is an incredible moment to see captured.
