Description
Daedalus fashioned two pairs of wings out of wax and feathers for himself and his son. Before they took off from the island Minos, Daedalus warned his son not to fly too close to the sun, nor too close to the sea. It has been said he flew too close to the sea and the feathers got wet, ceased working due to added weight. And so, Icarus fell into the sea in the area which bears his name, the Icarian Sea near Icaria, an island southwest of Samos.

Another Greek.
It is another story of Icarus I portrayed here. I quite modified it. Instead of being too close to the sun, he becomes to close to sea and sees the goddess Galene, and becomes captivated by her. Unknown to the boy, he becomes too close to the sea and he drowns to his death.
