Meet Bishop.
Bishop went through 2 iterations as a fan character in 2 different settings before getting his own original plot. This one is in the world of "Ready Player One"
All 3 iterations will have some common threads in regarding to his expertise and personality

to the uninitiated in regards to Ready Player One, what you need to know about it is that it's set in the 2040's has a virtual world called OASIS which is like the biggest open world sandbox world, where pretty much everyone lives, studies and works through that world, and you have a character you can level up and gain abilities, armors, weapons and artifacts (most based on items appearing in pop culture media)

Going under the alias of "Doorman", Bishop has become a master of loopholes within the virtual world of OASIS where hacking has zero tolerance and could get a person banned.
Over several years of laying low, both away from the system's monitoring and other users and with well-honed programming skills, Bishop has collected and modded several artifacts that allowed him a sort of free fast-travelling ability, from wherever he was.

Artifacts including: (the artifacts are fanon and have not officially appeared in the book)

Clone Scroll (not pictured) - Create a random number of clones (1-20) and gain the ability to switch places with one of them. while meant to only be used temporarily, for the span of 3 minute after which the clones disappear, Bishop managed to mod their code, so they won't disappear, linking them to a personal server containing an AI that sends them behavioral commands as well as collecting their data as NPCs. Bishop still retains the ability to switch between them, but in their modded state they cannot disappear, carry only a simple conversation, and cannot access any of the original's items and artifacts. The artifact cannot be used again while the clones all exist.

Bullet Time (Sunglasses) - once worn and activated, all movement around the artifact's wearer slows down to a near stop for 10 seconds, while the wearer moves at normal speed.

Master Key - when inserted into a door, the user can turn its destination to the other side of any door they went through in the past (excluding private rooms made by players). With all of Bishop's clones sharing a single database, any door that a clone has gone through allows him to access any door the clones have gone through as well, and with Bishop having exceptional memory, he's able to keep a list of important and potentially useful locations for a safe getaway. Based on The Matrix movies, this artifact was unique in a sense that to obtain it one would need to apply some small world-bending hacks without getting caught.

Tamagotchi - A deceptively innocuous-looking artifact that resembles the 90's sensation of the little virtual pet. In fact, it doesn't even register as an artifact until activated, which takes the dedication and care that the real one required, with the added hindrance that any attempt to use an automated care program would kill the pet. Seeing it as a challenge, Bishop managed to take care of the virtual pet for long enough and well enough to reveal its secret and true function - the ability to summon a mythical creature to aid the owner in battle, whether in order to fight, or flee.

With this synergy, Bishop made sure that each of his clones has a slightly different attire to mask his character model, and ensured that if he'd happen to get in trouble, he'd either have the ability to summon a beast or slow down time, with the absence of doors, or - if a door is present - have a quick getaway in a chase. If the rest of his artifacts require cooldown, however, he can switch places with one of the clones, however it would likely cost the "life" of the clone.

Luckily enough, Bishop is only mischievous in his goals and is not looking to bring harm or malice to other users despite the potential to cause havoc.
