Description Okay, I cleaned up my gryphon v.1 shading job per the excellent suggestions from maverynthia . I know the highlights might seem a little - err, loud - but I like them. Of course all your criticisms and commentary are greatly appreciated -- thank you, ahead of time.

It's looking a lot better more and more ^_^ I like the way you did the smaller version. I like the new shinies too!

My second wave of critiques:
(I'm talking about the right Gryffy) The hilights could be blurred more and hilights that bright are usually not on the exact front but offset a little. (Looking at my shiny art model) The main light would be on the edge but for shiny shiny (like plastic) it's offset. For satiny it just needs some blur power ^_^!

Looking back on the the two images...The thing I forgot to notice is the muscles, where they are darker it looks like it indents. I'm not sure if that's what you wanted. But if you add the shading under the line and to the front of the line (On the foreleg) then those curves will look like bulges.

The shading on the head along the jaw the darkest shading could be blended/blurred into the other shade. Just like it is on the wing joint and the under belly ^_^

The thing you forgot! The shoulder and the foreleg...needs shading behind it, since it is blocking the light.

I hope I don't sound too picky..x_X
