I've kind of neglected him lately... so here's some sort of a tribute to him
Don't worry Tachi, you're still my number one bishie!

Poor Itachi... really... When I think about just how sad his part was in Naruto, I get teary eyed.
There's a 'story' behind this pic, by the way (if you don't watch or read the series, and you don't wish to be spoiled, I wouldn't read the following description of my drawing if I were you. It's my interpretation of Itachi, but there are quite some details from the series in it)

So, I imagine it to be a couple of days before the final fight with Sasuke. His heart problems become more difficult to bear and he knows he's not going to live for long anymore.
He isn't only suffering physically, also emotionally. Everything he'd done, he did for a reason, of course, but... it's got to be so fucking traumatizing! Like... I mean, he was only 13 when he killed off his entire family.

PLUS, he was such a nice and peaceful person! He became a coldblooded murderer for the sake of his village and his little brother, that's got to leave emotional scars behind.
In this scene, the forehead protector means something. The fact that he took it off, means that he's shedding off his emotionless mask for a moment. A moment in which he truly is afraid of what will follow. Doubting if his little brother would be able to last against him, for one thing was sure; he loved Sasuke a lot, but he wouldn't go easy on him.
Both their lives were ruined, but at least, he might be able to give Sasuke some peace by granting him his revenge and ridding him of Orochimaru's influence.
Everything he'd done... the killings, the lies, the torture... he deserved to die by Sasuke's hand, because he would never be able to repent for all his sins.
That's what I want to show with this drawing. The agonising guilt and sorrow he's feeling.

Okay, spoilers are over.

So... yeah... a new pose. Hooray for me! And you know what? I didn't use a single reference for it! Nope, not even one! Well... I did use my own body XD but that's not exactly a good reference haha, but I like the result
Moments like these make me realise that I do have some talent. Sadly, such great moments of inspiration and skill rarely happen XD

Anyway, I'm quite proud of this and I hope that when I colour it, it'll become even better ^^
