Sorry if the quality of this photo is sub-par, was taken with my phone on the job. I work with a sea turtle monitoring program now. As part of my job we do excavations on nests a few days after they have hatched to get data on nest size and hatching success. Sometimes a few babies stay behind in the nest for one reason or another so when we find them we hold onto them during the day and do controlled releases at night. This is a picture of some loggerhead babies from one such excavation.
