This coloring was kinda rushed I had just found out I had some problems with registration/ losing classes/ advisor can't email me back till monday so a bit a of a break down happened and I decided to color to cool me down so its prolly a little sloppy

today I feel a little better but still stressed so we'll see how well the story goes

The gun was fired and all the horses burst away from the starting line almost simultaneously. There was only a few, way less than who entered in the Thoroughbred race so maneuvering around other racers was easy. Egypt was racing steady and strong, like atari knew she would though that didn't stop Atari from worrying. She put on a face every time Phillip protested about Egypt being entered in this race. "Pfft eight years is not that old" Atari would convince herself "She needs this". But even though she had confidence in her mare she was not going to blindly run through this. Every step the mare took Atari could feel it land and step to the next. she was completely in tune with her horses movements and was focuses on any rocks or obstacles ahead. If she thought the sand ahead was to thick she'd move her a little more to the outside, she was not afraid to risk a few seconds to protect her horse. She wanted for her and Egypt to enjoy this race not to ruin it with injuries.

Atari held Egypt at her pace until the finish line was in sight. She could feel the other racers begin to pull out and speed up so she followed. She begin to let Egypt go, a little weary of the speed but quickly shook it off. Egypt's legs began to move faster she widened her stride and was soon at full gallop. The feeling was amazing. this mare hadn't run like this in a long time. the raced across the sand as if they weren't even touching it. This is where the mare belonged not posing in a fancy halter but unfortunately the dream would end once they crossed the line. Egypt was getting older and she would not be able to race forever.

Atari didn't even look to see what place she was in. . she didn't care. She kept her mare straight and pushed her on.

hmmmm i felt weird writing that one :/ something about it felt korny and almost sappy but it'll have to do hope you guys enjoy!
