Hello, I found your art thanks to 's contest
It's a nice picture, if somewhat a bit depressing, dreams you get in your sleep are indeed just dreams, but dreaming of what you can do or be in the future is what get people going... Why would we live if we didn't wish for life to be better and for us to do what pleases us? As long as it's legal and doesn't bother the next person, it's something to thrive for, without it, we'd just dwell in despair and keep stuck at whatever point in life we are.
This philosophy moment aside, the character indeed looks like the one from Undertale (which I haven't played, but watched a lot of let's play of). The only thing that got me puzzled is the shadow and light. Where does the light come from? I'd say below/left side of the picture as the background and the ... piece of clothing (I'm not entirely sure what it is, a shirt? a dress? or how to describe it) is lighter in that part, but then, it'd mean the shadow would be above and to the right, yet there are part that are shaded when they shouldn't (like the down part of the left arm - for the character). The face could work with more features and shadings as well, so do the horns. I know you wrote you had to re-make them because they were not to your liking, but here they're just mostly plain white. Moreover, I suppose they come from under the hair, to perhaps adding more strands of hair/messed hair at the base of the horn to show they go through it would be nice (just a suggestion though).
Regarding the body itself, not much is shown except that the character must be very thin, given how the cloth seems to be hanging on him (and the character it's based on - Wayne Minazuryu - seems to be rather muscular on the other hand). I know it's most likely because Asriel was a child and you chose to keep that aspect, yet his face still shows he's not just a child but something more or older at least. My guess is that I get this feeling because the sleeve are rather thin, have they been wider, I suppose that the body would look more muscular too.
Oh, by the way, I like how you made the symbol/sigil on the torso.

thank you for the comment!
I like the idea you got from this picture. Asriel, for me, is clouded by despair and cant move on. He was such a sweet child, but he lost to despair.
As for the clothes, I too, have no idea how it is supposed to be. Since Undertale is a pixelated game, I couldnt find out what his clothes originally were. I tried to do some research, but every artist has their own perspective so it kinda hard. Things I catched from the wiki were "robe and pads". I might have created the pads wrong ;_;
I also tried to keep things as Asriel and Wayne.
Well, as for the shadow and light, I just did not have the experience when I drew this. But I'll try to improve, so dont worry!
Thank you again for choosing my piece and the compliments!

Hello, I'm from ProjectComment !!
Just from a glance, this piece looks absolutely amazing!! The mixture of the characters is perfect, and looks stunning. First off though, the gradient on the top of his hair seems a bit harsh. I would recommend fading it out a bit more, or changing it to a lighter color. The simple shading is also very nice, and doesn't get in the way. However, I feel a bit more shading could help in some places, like the right horn and eyelid. The background is simple, although the green seems a bit out of place, I would do a purple or red instead, since you already used those colors before. The glitchy rectangles also seem a bit off in the way they're placed, I would recommend clumping them together a bit more, instead of having them across the entire piece. Some more wrinkles on the clothing would really help complete the piece, also. Overall, this a great piece!! Awesome job!!

Hi Im from ProjectComment and I wanted to say this piece looks nice. Im an undertale fan myself. ^^ Im glad you took seriously on your request,. Like you wanted to fix the horns, not all digital artist do that, especially of its a request. The horns are a bit off, but you already saw that. So I think thats good, you have a sharp eye on your piece. Second is the head. The head is kinda bigger than the body. My suggestion is that maybe you should make the head slighlty smaller or the shoulder's more broad. By the way, nice touch with his clothes. Spot on. And the shading is beautiful. But the shading should be focus more on the face. So it looks really good. And there's not much lighting too. The facial expression is great. It reallyy suites with the chatbox you gave. Nice quote by the way. Is that from the game? I dont really remember. But overall you have a nice piece and I hope you keep up the good work. You still have more room to improve ^^
