felt like doodling a Lapis and Peridot fusion for funsies. you know they're gonna fuse at some point!as much as i like Amedot, i also like Lapidot and i can't wait to see what happens with them in the future

Mainly in how it looks like Lapis with googles. In hindsight, you could've gone with a design that combines the two ,but has more distinct similarities. Otherwise the piece is fine and it's just a small issue though, really love your stuff

Ah, I see! I was actually somewhat going for the goggles look, seeing as Lapis is aquatic and combining her with Peridot's visor would turn into a more goggle-like visor! Thank you so much for the critique, it's definitely helpful. Thank you :3

Don't mean to sound rude but to be quite honest, after tons of tons of Lapidot ship, almost no matter where I go, I'm starting to getting fed up with this fandom. Everytime I type the word "Lapis" on the search bar (whether it could deviantart, google, or tumblr) there's always going to be a Peridot cuddling right next to her for some reason. Sure, in the actual series there they both have some plenty of screentime in the barn. However unlike Ruby and Sapphire, these two so called "couple" they barely even talked to each other. Yes Peridot did apologise her but was only for once, all the rest are (I hate to say this to you) useless garbage. Peridot become more annoying and Lapis is being a jerk. All of these make wanna thinks that Lapis should deserves more to Jasper than Peridot. Keep in mind, during the early season, Peridot is also one who took Lapis hostage, and also the one who was trying to kill off the Crystal Gems which includes Steven, making us wonder to think if Lapis would tolerate this, I mean after all, she keep saying she'll do anything to "protect Steven." Even though the Malachite fusion was one of the dumbest way to "protect Steven" in fact it would even make Jasper stronger. Anyway, not only for Peridot to kidnaps Lapis and tries to kill the Crystal Gems, but even after her redemption arc she couldn't even felt guilty for contacting Aquamarine. After Malachite fusion, I was expecting for Lapis if not Jasper, but a least a Pearl would've made more sense to ship with, but nope all Lapis gets end up is with Jar Jar Binks equivalent of Invader Zim. before you say something, I don't really hate Peridot as a character infact I'm really glad to see a redeemable Peridot, but shipping Lapis would be no reason for their relationship especially what Lapis have been through. Right now, they might not hate each other, but certainly not in love with each other. Then again, this just my personal opinion.

I mean... like I said, I prefer Amedot to Lapidot, but canonically they're roommates; they've gotten to know one another off screen and obviously have some sort of feelings for one another, especially after Can't Go Back it's pretty apparent that Lapis feels some type of way towards Peridot. The whole point of SU is learning to forgive and to grow from expectations, so for both Lapis and Peridot to move on from their past is something that they've been trying hard to do; pretty much every character has been trying to move on and grow in some way. Also... Peridot never contacted Aquamarine, I think Peridot just listed names in a log date that Yellow Diamond got ahold of and gave to her for her mission, but yeah.
I know how you feel, tho. That's how I feel about Pearlmethyst, whose relationship I feel is more sisterly than intimate. I understand fam, you're entitled to your opinion! I still think a Lapis and Peridot fusion is bound to happen at some point though, whether they're together intimately or not

If learning to forgive and to grow from expectations were true then why didn't the crewuniverse gave Jasper and Bismuth the chance to redeem themselves, even there is so much evidence that would lead to their redemption. The series is almost ending, if Jasper and Bismuth couldn't have the chance to redeem themselves soon or never at all, then that forgiveness and growing expectation is nothing but a complete waste.

They're going to - it's just a matter of time and plot convenience lol. They will get redeemed, that's kind of obvious. Also, there's no proof the series is ending just yet; they're making season 6 and who knows what else could possibly be in store! I believe the writers know what they're doing

If this Isn't the proof that Steven Universe is almost over then why did Cartoon Network show the Diamond invasion of Earth in the promo? I mean this makes no sense, and also the Promo itself seem to be too spoilery. This type of scenario never expect to happen this early, Steven and the Crystal Gems are still shocked about Pink Diamond and Sapphire runs off, so I'm not sure if they're going to be prepare for an invasion, even with Alexandrite. Despite of the Diamonds appearance in the "The Zoo and "The Trail" we still barely get to know about the Diamonds and what is going on in Homeworld. I expecting the Diamond invasion of Earth happening at least in season 7 or at the last episode of Season 6. This one seems little too rushed. Keep in mind they're still few of episodes left in season 5.

I don't know?? It's probably a part of the arc, but that doesn't mean the show is ending, at least with season 5. There's still much more we don't know. White Diamond, Sneople, curing corruption, if the zoomans will be released, etc. The new arc will likely have Steven telling the Diamonds about PD; it will introduce them to the main cast and we'll get to know more about them in the process. Not to mention, there's been talk about there being more Steven in the future from Cartoon Network (something like "big things ahead for SU", don't remember the full quote) and season 6 has already been recorded. There's more on the way. Rebecca, before finding out the show was greenlit for another season, said she was writing the show into a corner for this season so no wonder it seems "rushed". We don't even know how it gets to this point yet, so chill - there WILL be more.

Im just a little worry that Jasper and Bismuth and possibly the Diamonds would get the redemption arc in the last few episodes, which makes them have less time on their character development and less time for us to get to know them. Let's just hope I'm wrong.

I feel you, honestly a lot of characters haven't gotten much or proper development, but that happens with side characters sometimes, sadly. I just hope that season 6 will give them more development. Bismuth kind of already has been redeemed, but not fully. She needs to be given some good development, she deserves it. As for Jasper, I'm almost positive she'll get a redemption arc but it will probably take some time.
