Story:
The siblings couldn't believe it was already finished, they had been at Mulberry Breeze Stables for a little more than a week now, but it felt like nothing more than a couple of days. Vela was already falling asleep in her designated stall, Eliah brought her blanket higher on her neck, nights could get very chilly in this area of the world.
"Sleep well now..." He wispered as he gently patted her shoulder.
"She's gonna dream of all the things she's done here, I like to think she had fun." Softly said Claudia as she leaned over the stall door.
After halter, Vela entered in the dressage class, and to the surprise of both Eliah and Claudia, she seemed to really make an effort to concentrate for that one, even if for the many training sessions she had her focus taken away by the smallest noise or movement in her peripheral vision, on the D-day she felt oddly calm. Maybe she had started to become impressed by the amount of people and other horses being amounted around her and decided to make herself smaller? Vela was no shy kid generally... but she also wasn't much of a dominant one and had only been one in such an environment before. It could be possible that the noise and the movement was starting to get to her a little.
Eliah decided to have her routine be simple, the moves were all there but nothing would be some flashy over exageration of a move like so many liked to do. He wanted the movements to be sober, well executed, amooth and actual exercise for the muscles and tendons. He always aimed for relaxation and precision rather than spectacle, after all, if people want to see gritery horses execute overthe top movement they can go to a circus, not a dressage show, that shouldn't be the point of a dressage show... Unfortunately dressage had now become nothing more than a ridiculous circus show and that was the main reason Eliah tended to be very reluctant to entering shows anymore.
Plus vela was no more than 6 and she had only been started under the saddle a year ago, for everybody at AAO she was "just a baby!", her candid personality and energy really had people see her and treat her like she was still a yearling and for that people were used to be even gentler and play ful with her. along with some other youngh horses, she was the puppy of the stable and everybody loved her for that.
That day, the night before she's board the plane to go back home, she fell asleep extra early, probably exhausted by all the playing, the training and the people.
As eliah left her stall he blew her a kiss.
"Good night, little Night."
