Description “Tooru, how could you?”

“I trusted you and you betrayed my trust.”

“Don’t bother. I don’t feel anything towards you anymore.”

Those words played through his mind over and over again. He still remembers you saying them like it was just yesterday.

Of course, he couldn’t blame you. It was his fault and his alone.

He still remembers the pain. The guilt. The betrayal.

You were right. He had betrayed you. You were too good for him but yet you settled for someone like him.

It was one stupid drunken mistake.

He was upset that he had lost. You were looking at him with what he thought was pity in your eyes and he hated it. He had worked so hard and for what? All he got in return was the bitter taste of defeat.

He was so angry.

He went out and got drunk. You were waiting up all night for him but he didn’t come home. You kept calling his phone and called his friends but no one knew where he was.

He came in smelling like alcohol and the perfume of another woman. He had hickeys on his neck. The second you looked at him, you knew.

He looked at you not even bothering to hide the guilt.

“(Y/n) I can explain-,” Oikawa started but you cut him off.

“How could you?”

What hurt him most was your voice. You sounded so broken. You couldn’t hold back your tears.

He was the cause of that pain. He had betrayed you. He was at fault.

So he let you leave.

He didn’t have the right to make you stay. You deserved better.

After you left, he put everything into volleyball. He worked harder than his entire team. For a while it was enough to get you off his mind but then it happened.

His knee gave out on him and the doctors told him he couldn’t play anymore.

What was he supposed to do now?

He didn’t have you. He didn’t have volleyball. What did he have?

He had nothing.

He drowned himself in alcohol. He slept with women whose names didn’t even register in his mind. It was all he could do to momentarily forget.

He saw you the other day. He saw you smiling and laughing with another man. The sight of you made his heart ache with longing.

He longed to see you laugh with him again. He longed to have your hands run through his hair. He longed to have your plump lips pressed against his. He longed to have you by his side again.

You didn’t notice him and he didn’t bother stopping to say hi. How could he? He couldn’t face you. He would never be able to face you in the state he was in. He was a broken man with nothing to look forward to anymore.

He went home and cried. He cried over the loneliness he felt. He cried over the emptiness in his heart. He cried over how broken he was. He cried over you.

But he knew that he deserved it, the pain and the misery.

He had betrayed you and he deserved to feel this way.

How is there no comments on this? It's absolutely amazing, just like all your other stories. It may be somewhat short, but it told the story just as well as a long one shot. It's angsty and heartbreaking and absolutely amazing! I love your stories so much!
