Description An #Artcrossing gift for *jjosryo , she likes sea life and ocean things. I wanted to make her something nice because she always makes such great gifts for everyone, but then I got some last-minute paranoia about whether it was good enough, but she seems to like it!

Made using this tutorial by *Rrkra . I had to change some stuff as I only had one size of seed bead and some giant beads that wouldn't have worked. The string is to attach it to a keyring.

I found this tutorial quite hard to follow as I'm used to the back-and-forth technique in beading and this was something completely different and a lot of the basics were missed out. Which is fine, if you know what you're doing. But I had to repeat things a lot of times sometimes where there was ambiguity in the instructions, until I got the one that looked like a picture.

Girl, this is really cool. I love beading, and I've been trying to teach myself how to do it! In that regard, I know how hard it can be! Especially something complex like this! I'm very impressed, it looks fantastic. And I can see that *jjosryo liked it as well!

Thank you!
I've done a lot of the "back-and-forth" type of ones that you make flat (ish) creatures with, made a lot of creatures that way. But this round-and-round one I got totally confused with Although it turned out okay in the end...

Even the flat ones are hard for me so I'm really impressed with how filled out the fishie is.

It came out very nice! As soon as I took him out of the package I made him float around on my boyfriend for a minute or two.
