best laughbut yes, from Spyro 2 these Catbat guys are my fave enemies from that game! (along with the little lamp-thieves ~)
they're quite funny with their laugh, and the sound they make when they get burned lol. And also the way the look when they are burned as well XD they are so cute ~

I've been meaning to return to drawing these guys for just about forever. XD Something about them is just amazing, gotta admit that they were just about the best enemies in the game. And literally this is just about the best fanart possible for these guys. XD ....And you should draw one of them getting burned. XD

One thing I really liked about Spyro 2 was its enemy variety. Every level had a different set of enemies. Spyro 1 and 3 had some enemy variety, but most of the enemies were either Gnorcs or Rhynocs. I loved seeing all the creatures of Avalar. I also really liked the level intros that showed the problem in each level before you entered, and then showed the outcome after you left. Where were those in Spyro 3?
Anyway, I love the way you drew Catbat! I hope you do more enemies from Spyro 2!

yes I agree! If I remember right, the Magic Crafters and Dream Weavers worlds didn't have any gnorcs at least.
and yes I loved those intros and sad that they weren't in Spyro 3 D: Many of them were funny, like the intro with the CatBat and his laugh.

Didn't Elora call them pterodactyls in the Gulp battle? "I trained some pterodactyls from Skelos Badlands, they'll be dropping objects you can use to fight Gulp." Wait now that I think about it, the two creatures look and act nothing alike. Never mind.

Aww yeaaah! I still admire how you can convert the somewhat sharp polygons of the game in a pretty drawing with smooth lines~

C: ! but yeah some can be a bit tricky with their low polygons D: this dude's legs wasn't super visible in shape, so had to go for what it mostly looked like XD and for for the wings, I remade to a better version that made more sense ~
didn't notice much of it myself as younger but heard that their official name was Catbat somewhere and then they do have the "eoow"-cat like sound when they die XD

Ahah I guess you're like me, when I tried to draw things from the game I had to let the game play and stare at things so long to try catching the right thing.That's one of the things that somewhat discourage me to do fanart to this game. I'll retry someday, though. Anyway the result's great!

yeah can be a bit frustrating if it's hard to see D: XD like when there isn't enough to look at like low quality, or too far away from the creatures you wanna draw. Had to look at some videos of the catbats with close ups to get it as right as possible XD

Yes. I am also still obsessed about some details in landscapes. Like, how many people did actually noticed that each dragon realm had a distinctive flag? Thoses from Artisans, Peace Keepers and Magic Crafters are quite easy to observe, but those from Beast Makers and Dream Weavers can be seen clearly only from a certain point xD I wasted a lot of time trying to see them well...

Aww yes, that's also why the Dream Weavers levels are my all times favorites. They all are magnificent. Hauted Towers and it's cut in two halves skies - And if you fall you end up falling in the sun! The designers had such imagination *-*
