So this is cool, right? This is one of those things that you see on National Geographic, but no one actually ever sees. I wish I could visit here! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
Sometimes photographs look like paintings. The subject of the photo is just so alien, so unreal, so different from what we normally see that when you see a photograph of that subject you almost don't believe it. This, for me, is one of those photos. It's one of those photos that really make you sit and stare in awe of God's creation, and one of those photos you hang on your wall. This scene is truly spectacular.
The photographer really did a great job shooting this picture. While the photo is taken from a standard upright angle, he did a good job of keeping it interesting by not making the lower portion of the image all land. He did a more half & half (land and water) approach that I really like. IvanAndreevich shows photography skills at a professional level. I could easily see this on a magazine cover!
The photo has a very calm nature about it, as if it's setting had been undisturbed for years. Looking at it, you really couldn't tell visitors had been there (and who knows, maybe visitors haven't gone there much!). It has such a peaceful quality about it, and it really shows off the beauty of nature in it's purest form.
My complaints- I really have none. I guess if this were to be shot again, I might suggest some form of DoF (depth of field) or a different camera angle, but I don't really have any complaints.
Great job! And thanks to the artist for sharing such an amazing photo!

I explore glacier caves a lot, and it's really disheartening watching how quickly they are receeding year after year. I tend to focus more on the white and blues myself, but you really captured the warmth of the ice that I would have never expected or thought to look for myself with these deep colors. Beautifully done!
