So I went to the lake by myself, and it took me 1:47 to get there from the parking lot. Good exercise! The mountains in the distance are already capped with fresh snow, and frost is hiding in the shadows
This will all freeze in a few weeks. I'll try to come back to see it, when it does.Location: Garibaldi Lake, Garibaldi Provincial Park, Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
Equipment: Nikon D90 + Tokina 11-16mm + Tiffen Polarizer.
Technique: Photomatix Pro 4.1 and Photoshop CS5 from 3 RAWs shot in 1.5 EV intervals.

knew it was in BC! been hiking around here lately, and this reminded me of Gwillim Lakes. If you haven't been there yet, you need to go!! most beautiful place i've seen. the greens and reds of these lakes..

This photo captures the pure essence of nature; still and tranquil (as it should always be haha). The reflection is so crisp/undisturbed, it's like this place is completely separated from the rest of the world

Ok first off, I'll tell you what I like about this picture...The clear blue sky, the idyllic backdrop of a treelined, snow-capped mountain and the clarity and definition of the many tones of the water which is so characteristic of your images, however...something seems amiss...the reflections of the mountain range do not fit the image and seem somehow fake and for me ruin what should be a beautiful image.
