I'm entering the competition~ Right at the last minute, but at least I tried ^^: Self-photography is quite challenging....

I hope my statement makes sense its kinda my thoughts on a page, but I hope they're consistent.

Reflective Statement;

I believe that before changing the world, you have to start with something smaller, like yourself. Whether it is to improve your qualities, setting good habits and (or) working to improve your gifts, changing my world is the first step I'm trying to take. I have photographed my self and my desk in order to reflect upon that, to further add meaning, I also sketched various things in photoshop. The desk is scattered with paper and art materials - to reflect my personality and my want to grasp everything. I have used white guideline type sketches on my desk to signify my artistic progress - only just begun and under construction. The two chibis; one on my shoulder and one near my arm keep me light-hearted company and help me through my process whilst the guidelines on my body remind me to learn from life. The sketchy dove near my head gives me hope and the rainbow is the process of which my world is being changed. To be able to change myself for the better, I hope that in the future, I shall be able to change others' world through my art.
