Spider robot LF-^6^^^Defense contractors on Thursday unveiled one of the most advanced spider robots
ever built as part of the DARPA Virtual Robotics Challenge in Waltham, Mass.
Called Spider robot LF-6, the giant is controlled by a two human operators, who guides the sensors,
hydraulics, and limbs through a range of naturalΒ motions.

The processing that gives it that slightly grainy stylized quality is an especially cool touch.

The level of detail is amazing. Though it is clear, through the angles, the painting and all the metallic parts, that this is a machine, the compact body, the visual sensors, the legs and mandibles give it a very organic sensation. Excellent work with the shadow, too.
